I have heard that you can get for a fee or otherwise public knowledge criminal records on people and that those websites that charge you there is no need for if you just go to the clerks office yourself.
not just criminal, but maybe complaints as well, like someone filed a complaint of a verbal threat…etc

How can I obtain ALL individual historical speeding ticket records from my local community traffic court?

May 15th, 2010 Peter 1 comment

Traffic speeding crime is rampant in my rural community. There is an average of 100+ high speed street crimes (some as high as 80 to 100 mph) in the 35 mph speed zone by my house every day. I need records to show that the police are not writing many speeding tickets and that our mayor is canceling a large percentage of speeding tickets for friends, family, neighbors, etc. The “good ole boy” network is very active here. Our police chief told me personally that he doesn’t write many tickets because our mayor will just cancel most of them. I would also like to get these same records from my county criminal traffic court dating back before our local mayor’s court was established 4 years ago. Does the Freedom of Information Act apply to local traffic crime records? Do I need an attorney to get these records and will I have to go to court to get them?

Local and County News and Goings on in the Escambia County Public Records

Have you ever needed to run a background check on someone in particular or simply needed to search the land deeds records for information about the size of a piece of property or the sale date of that piece of property? These are only two of the types of searches that you are able to do in the Escambia County public records. Escambia County is at the very western end of the Florida panhandle and is where the town/city of Pensacola is located.

If you are searching for a specific person that you have not seen in a long time or simply are thinking about hiring someone to work for you that you have a nagging bad feeling about, then the background checking service that each county and state provides you will help you to determine if that nagging feeling that something is not right is correct or not. It needs to be stated up front that this service may not be free and that you might need to pay a small fee to either the Clerk of Court or to a criminal background checking service for this information.

Another type of information that you can obtain from the Escambia County public records is information about those who are currently serving time in any of the jails (either in the local Municipal Jails or in the County Jail) in Escambia County. The Inmate Search feature is very simple to use; all you really need to do is type in the person’s “real”/Legal Name or their Alias and click the Search button to find out if the person that you are looking for is in jail somewhere in Escambia County. There might be times that you are not going to be able to get this information either because the person is not in any of the jails in Escambia County or simply because their inmate information has not been entered into the database yet.

Something else that you can check in very easily through the Escambia County public records are the results of all of the local elections and Municipal/Local, County and statewide political positions and questions that are currently on the ballot, that have been decided, are being challenged or contested and will be coming up for voter decision in the future. There are many people who either voted Absentee or voted in person who did not have the opportunity to hear the local election results that will find this information very useful and helpful as far as keep track of what is going on in their local political races and matters.
