My friends and I (Team RAPP) got caught with a street sign in the back of our van during a “traffic stop for suspicious activity” . We are going to court for it and being charged with theft. If we are convicted will it be erased when we turn 18? And can we be on probation when we turn 18?
Ok well I just got accepted to a RN program but my school director says they can’t guarantee me I will accepted to a hospital for my clinicals or that I will be licensed. He says found out for yourself..so hopefully someone here knows. 5 years ago I got a credit card in my ex husbands name as a revenge tactic..unfort. I was charged with FELONY credit card fraud when it was discovered. It was tried in domestic relations court and reduced to a misdemeanor(I had to pay restitution-which I did-They suspended all jail time and I had to have good behavior for two years) I have nothing else on my criminal record and I have gotten very good grades so far. Will the Board of VA be lenient and give me a license being this was 5 years ago(will be 6 by the time I apply for license) and does anyone have any experience with hospitals not accepting people for clinicals?
Ok thanx so far! I just called the VA Board of nursing and talked to a woman in charge of approving criminal backgrounds for licensure. She says it is a case by case basis and it is 95% likely I will be able to get my license but again what are the hospitals going to think? I am mostly interested in working in ER or another fast paced enviorment…def. don’t want to work in nursing homes
I am trying to get a job, and the background check showed a drug felony conviction out Pomona, CA from 1993….I completed all court requirements of attending drug diversion classes in 1994, so what are the steps I take to have the felony dismissed?
So around 8th grade i got caught stealing at Target’s i did everything they asked like community service…peer court after 6 months i was off probation and now i’m in college and in need of a job and they ask if i have a criminal record i checked no but im afraid that i won’t get a job because of my record… it was 6 yrs ago so yea
….can it still be found? A friend of mine got into some trouble and since it’s his first offense they said that by going to some class and participating in community service it will be esponged from his record. But I myself believe that nothing is ever truly erased or else people criminal records from when they were children wouldn’t be so easy to get a hold of…
if i took an old case back to court, can i get sentenced for the same crime in which i already served ?
I haven’t been conviction free since then but I have been through a “drug treatment” court which has proven I have been clean and the main thing I would like exponged is a misdemeanor possesion of a controlled substance conviction that is 6 years old.No new chrages in 3 years.
