I am 22 and had an 18 month conditional discharge (Caution) when I was 18 or 19 that went to migistrates court but nothing happened.
Now 22 I have all the needed qualifications for army officer including BA degree.
I have also been told that a conditional discharge does not count as a conviction so I don not have to actually disclose this on any form and It shouldnt be a problem..is this true??
Is there a website where I can search people’s criminal records without having to pay for it?
When I was a minor (17 yrd old) I had an incident in Georgia state: following too close, driving without a license and leaving the scene of the accident. When I was 21 yrs old, I had intoxication in public and second degree assault charges in Maryland state. These last two charges were expunged. I have obtained my police records from both states and they show “no record”. You think they have grounds to deny my application? Thank you.
P.S. I know expunged cases do remain visible to official authorities. Yes, I entered the country legally. I already had my first interview and I was sent out to get the disposition of the last two cases that I mentioned above. The court has no record of it since it was expunged so they gave me a paper saying there is no record.
You think I should be fine? Yes, I regret what I did.
